Default 1 minute conflict

If I want to record a show which ends at 1:01 a.m, & another which
begins at 1:00 a.m., is there any way to stop the first one 1 minute early,
or start the second one 1 minute late? I see padding options for starting
recording early, or stopping recording late, but not the other way around.

TIA,

-Bruce

No. Starting late and ending early are things I've mentioned
wanting for quite some time now. A workaround is to make
Manual Recordings and pad them. Unfortunately, there still
isn't enough granularity in the padding options for what you
described above, but you can get close. For example:

To record a show from 10:01PM-10:58PM (start 1 minute
late and end two minutes early), make a Manual Recording
from 10:05PM-10:55PM, but specify that it start 4 minutes
early and also have it record 3 minutes longer; you cannot
specify that it record 4 minutes longer, so there is the lack
of granularity I mentioned.

Saturday Night Live was doing that for a while. I've no idea
if they still are, but I do wonder if NBC doesn't do that on
purpose just to screw with folks like us. Their thursday
night lineup is full of 31 and 29 minute shows all the time, too.

The only option really is to do a manual record-by-time/date thing,
as far as I know, rather than try to do the padding thing.

I think in this case, since the show which is going over is
scheduled until 1:01am, it would be much easier to just set
that one as a manual recording ending at 1a and not mess
with padding or moving the second show back.

Overlapping recording should be an option, but unfortunately it isn't.

Yeah, one of the many RFEs I've filed:

Yes, SNL is the problem exactly. Well, off to set up a manual recording,
thanks for all the replies.
