JTAG-ing - Anyone able to advise?

Absolutely not ...

I was one of the people who tested Via Voice voice recognition
software at my last place of work some years ago. These are excerpts
from an email I sent to my boss ...

"Just to soften you up for irate mails from partners ... maybe we
should start a web-page like the one for the Newton Message Pad!

This is a bit of a farce really, perhaps the active mike will be
better, but this is a relatively quiet environment. I don't think
this is going to increase my productivity yet ...

Also, Microsoft Word seems to hang after a while, I suspect when it
tries to autosave ...

Via Voice = While Boris, By our boys, the Higher Boris, wire wars
(you'd think it would recognise its own name wouldn't you?)

Andy (surname deleted to protect the guilty) = Andy sedate, and the
best they eat, Andy's Derek, Andy's Date

Create memo launches Outlook = Create my launches own

Much = Mark Mark Mark EDGE mark EDGE and Hutch march for Christ's sake
(I see it understood that) mark she

Scratch that = a expects, scratch mark, scratch back at, square that

I still haven't worked out what these were originally supposed to be:

Wrote to QNAP last night, but assuming the worst in the meantime, can
you spot the UARTs on the board? Or are they and the JTAG built-in to
the CPU?

They'll be inside the CPU. A UART hasn't been a standalone component for a
very long time.

This jtag device supports smp8634 and spansion flash

i have also used standard "wiggler" jtag with openocd. use x300t board file, but adapt for your board. all you need to do is flash the boot. do not flash the entire bin with parallel port jtag device. it will take too long. just flash the boot, then use tftp or uart.
