Anyone know the frequencies/polarizations/etc of the UK local TV
station(s) that are on satellite?

STV Glasgow and London Live are on 12610 MHz Vertical. They're
encrypted, which seems surprising.

Made in Leeds starts tomorrow on Freeview 8 and their website says
Virgin as well.
No mention of satellite. Would they be able to afford the costs?

Pity. Sheffield Live is so bizarre I wanted to compare it with others.

London Live carries ex BBC and C4 comedy shows, so there are rights
issues. It's FTV encrypted, but viewable outside the London postcode
area as long as you have a valid viewing card paired to the box.

Do you mean a Sky box and card?

So other boxes and Freesat will not work?

There are clips on You Tube of all the local TV stations (mostly for
their comedy value) and all the stations have live web streams.

Made in Leeds which should have started today is still showing promos
but EPG shows it launching at 8 PM I had thought that would have been
earlier in the day.

Looking further on the EPG it does not look inspiring by the program names.

I doubt that Joe Public will know about this new station as I've seen no
announcements or adverts for it that JP would see.

As it is being carried by Virgin will they have money in it and thus
been advising their cable customers?
