Sky News, as it happens, is FTA on Freeview, so every viewer of broadcast
TV can see it.

Not if they receive their Freeview reception from a relay station which only
transmits BBCA, BBCB and D3&4 - Freeview "Light".

And how does a interview with Stan Collymore concern this
newsgroup? Was there a technical fault with it?

You didn't even preface the subject with TOT!

But what happened? I'm really curious now.

Someone did the Twitter equivalent of spamming him. Said all
sorts of not-very-polite things about him after he was
adamant on TV commentary that Suarez dived to get a penalty
last weekend.

The Police are reportedly this evening interviewing a 14
year-old in the Bedford area.

Yesterday, I watched in astonishment when the Sky interviewer made
a very pointed inappropriate observation to Mr Cullymore.

To his credit, her took her to task quietly but determinedly. She
side- stepped the matter very well but I thought her remark was
disgusting.

No one else seems to have mentioned this aspect of the interview on
this NG. I don't have time to scour all the web sites the one
report I did see only mentioned the Twitter aspect but I am
disgusted that trial by television still persists in these parts.

Since I don't have Sky, did not see the interview, and therefore
have no idea what you are describing, it is not surprising that I
have not commented. This may also be the case for several other
folks.

Was this on Sky News? I don't see that mentioned in the OP. Not having
Sky as a service, I don't know how many other channels are available on
it.
But that does not change the fact that I did not see it, and have no
idea what the interviewer said to him.

Only one which has "Sky interviewers", and that's Sky News (or Sky
Sports News, which I think is no longer FTA).

But that does not change the fact that I did not see it, and have no
idea what the interviewer said to him.

Your original remark attributed your not seeing it to your not having
Sky. If that wasn't what you meant, fair enough.

Who the hell is Stan Cullymore?

A former so-called footballer who used to knock Ulrika
Jonsson about in public when they were supposedly an item.

except that it's also a mis-spelling, which is what I thought the previous
comment eluded to
