Tried recording "The Bridge" from BBC4 HD. Went to watch the first episode last night and discovered that episodes 1-4 failed to record. I've got a "0 minutes" recording for all four episodes.
Oddly, having changed nothing, but having had a little play around to confirm I can actually watch BBC4 HD etc, episode 5 recorded fine last night. Just me or something up with the guide/Humax? Paul DS. |

Why would they be any different to any other channel? I wondered if it was a
very low signal from those which comes and goes and hence is deemed unrecordable or something. I'd have thought with all that tech though, any issues where sd and hd channels exist it might be expected for it to switch to the sd if the hd was an issue. Are you referring to the first series? My listings show the first and second episodes of the new series will be shown on BBC4 on Saturday, 4th January 2014. Alaric |

Fortunately it's on iPlayer. |

Fortunately it's on iPlayer. Interesting that it's on BBC4 HD. I've been making some recordings from that channel (Only Connect and, um, something else) with no trouble. Not tried BBC3 HD yet. BTW, this is on Freesat and the OS is the modded one that came out last year - I waited until the Olympic channels went and then replaced Humax's fix for those with the mod. If I remember, I'll try BBC3. -- Peter. The gods will stay away whilst religions hold sway |

Still a bit puzzled why this should be different to any other HD channel. I appreciate the new multiplex is lower power and restricted coverage, but technically is it any different to the existing HD multiplex? I've got a Humax Freesat box that has the 'uncontrollable sound' fault on some HD channels but not others. Bill |

Wished I'd kept up with the newsgroups over christmas. My recording of "Bluestone 42" failed with a 0s length. That DS reference thought it was only BBC3, but someone here reports a failed recording on BBC4. So is it a great jump to assume it's BBC3, BBC4, CBBC, and CBeebies, as they timeplex? With several bad recording reports? And how about BBC News HD? Richard Just found this post on hummy.tv: http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/bluest...le-feast.4373/ So it may be a last minute cancellation, with it left in the EPG. |

I have received a reply from Humax saying they are aware of a problem
with the FREEVIEW HD HDR Fox T2 PVR which they are investigating. And, on checking, it may be that my 0sec recording of Freesat BBC3HD was of the first Bluestone 42, which it seems, was replaced at the last minute because of the death of a soldier in Afghanistan. How daft is it to give two different platform PVRs similar names? Freeview = HDR Fox T2 Freesat = Foxsat HDR. Richard |
