TV News this morning was saying Asda deal today was a 32" TV for £99.

What is this black Friday stuff about. Its on amazon when I went there
earlier this week. What does it mean? Do I have to black up before ordering?

It comes from the USA. John Lewis are copying. They have a sale
promotion today - The item I was considering buying was not included.

A sprat to catch a mackeral. there was probably only one 32" TV for £99.
and that would prove to be "already sold".

It's the USA equivalent of the boxing day sales - In the US it follows
thanksgiving rather than Xmas

Default ASDA Black Friday hard to believe.

It is the Friday after Thanksgiving which most people take as
holiday to give them a four day weekend, and it is also
traditionally the day that people start buying for Christmas.

Next Monday has a similar name - missing from the brain at the
moment - when web shopping for Christmas starts, mainly over
here!
