Just been prompted to do an "add new channels" on Winter Hill
Freeview, and found "This is BBC4 HD" on 106, starting soon. So we
might get to see some of Borgen in HD, and next year's Proms should
look good.

******

That seems a bit strange as on Freesat 106 is BBC3.
(BBC4 is 107).

It is about time the broadcaster got their heads together and got some sense
into the numbering systems.

Yes, though on DTT it's on the new Mux 7, only going to be available
from 30 sites, not the other 1124 that carry the main HD mux. Belmont
and CP have also launched Mux 7 today, Black Hill was supposed to too ?

Unfortunately it's BBC 3 HD that will be on the 'universal' HD Mux,
better if it had been BBC 4 HD instead IMHO.

Which transmitters will carry Mux 7? Will Bilsdale?

I thoroughly agree.

Yes, although with only 17.8 kW on ch31.

An overview with a map showing all transmitters planned for the MUXes
7&8 is available at
http://www.a516digital.com/2013/02/w...-channels.html,
and an update at
http://www.a516digital.com/2013/09/f...equencies.html
..

They will be FTA on satellite, so available on Freesat, Sky, or any
other vanilla sat box.
