Default Humax PVR 9300T & HDMI

Hi,

I've recently got an LG 32LN575-ZE TV and am using this with the Humax
9300T PVR. Works fine with the HDMI connection, but I've noticed that
the TV doesn't automatically switch over to the PVR when the latter is
switched on.

No such problems with the SCART connection, except that the picture
quality isn't as good as with HDMI.

The TV has a CEC (consumer electronics control) feature, but the PVR
manual doesn't mention this feature.

I'm wondering whether the PVR has CEC and requires a different cable.

Any help or comments wouls be most appreciated.

TIA

Clive

I'm not sure why you'd want it to. I have four things plugged into
four HDMI inputs on my TV and would be very annoyed, not to mention
confused, if it switched them all by itself without being told.

So unplug the SCART.

I didn't think the PVT9300T had HDMI output. Mine doesn't.

Most manufacturers don't provide this feature. Our
Panasonic does it on HDMI port 1 only. I don't know
what method it uses - maybe just detects the signal.
