Default Choosing Panasonic TV

Actively considering replacing existing Panasonic TV with one of these
two 42" models.

I appreciate that the first is a plasma model with built-in Freeview
and Freesat HD tuners and the second is LED and has built-in Freeview
only. Other than the lower power consumption is there any particular
reason for spending the 150ukp on the LED model? I am not really
interested in 3D or the 'smart' options?

We currently only use Freeview but Freesat may be of use if the 4G
introduction causes problems with our Ch60 stations.

I would rather stay with Panasonic as we are used to the eccentric
user interface.

Dunno but Plasmas do have reputations for low life span, high consumption,
being very heavy and cause interference to ay radio hams withing half a
mile. grin.

Don't forget the extra guarantee included from John Lewis though.
