Well I gathered what it was mint to say, its just that the things he
connects and the way he describes them are quite frankly obtuse and in some cases a bit on the unseemly. Mind you that other American Burke flogging Digital radio on the radio is really annoying, though I imagine that is actually deliberate. What can't you get digital radio on, a fish? I mean, it should be easy for those who made the fish fm radio to insert a dab one instead? Brian -- From the Sofa of Brian Gaff Reply address is active "A.N.Other" wrote in message ... He also has children who he is no doubt sending through private school - many actors appear in strange roles when they have children and need to ensure a steady income. Paul DS. |

Same subject, but different guy.
The one that really annoys me is the old guy that advertises Honda cars and has done some British Airways ads. A Mid-West accent I think. We only hear him, we don't see him. Slightly Jimmy Stewart-ish. But it's that: " I may be a bit slow, but I'm a pretty smart old guy and I've seen it all before. And those nice people at BA and Honda seem to understand this and accomodate. As the OP said "Who is he ?" |

It's Garrison Keillor of Prairie Home Companion. Thanks. A very annoying voice. IMO. Actually one ad featuring an American I enjoy is the Sky Broadband ad with Jennifer Anniston in an Internet Cafe (in a hyper state). (The wife hates it.) [cafe worker]: Is everything allright at home, dear ? [JA]: Devastating ! My internet is down ! Again ! [cafe worker]: Well, you shouldn't put up with it. You should switch. Sky have this great new Switch Squad ....... |
