Default Freeview links to the Internet

With my new Smart TV I have been exploring some of the more weird
channels.
Example: At #235 on Freeview there is a channel that links via my
router to a "religious" channel.

I have reasons to have this site looked at by Ofcom.

Is this way of broadcasting is a TV prog. or internet link ?

(Please:

No flames about the rights or wrongs of the site itself, this query
seeks clarification about what is the status of this hybrid type of
broadcasting).

Ideas, facts, thoughts?

If this article is correct, it is regulated by Ofcom as a broadcast
channel:

"Broadcast channels like BBC1 clearly fall under Ofcom, but things
get more hazy once the internet gets involved - for example, Sports
Tonight (Freeview 227) is delivered by IP, but it has a schedule, so
it falls under Ofcom, while The Space (Freeview 232) lets viewers
pick the show, so it falls under ATVOD."

think last year the government were moaning that a sex channel was doing
the same thing on freeview and showing more than a licensed tv channel
in the uk would - general concensus was that it escaped ofcom regulation.

there you go - seems as if, being legal in the home country allows it's
internet (via tv) broadcast to uk

This was bound to occur of course. could nobody actually see what would
happen or are they too dim to realise that the internet is by definition
unregulatable.

Well there is a surprise.
maybe I could set up a support the uk disabled channel, or something grin.
I can see it now, The next big thing in begging. No need to sit on street
corners, just set up a web site and rake in the dosh.

I once found myself working on a location shoot for the God channel.
I'd never heard of it at the time, but there we were. It was an
open-air pop concert at Alton Towers. I kid you not, they stopped for
prayers halfway through...

Oh I'm not surprised. There was i think a programme about this sort of thing
a few years ago from the USA. It all started there apparently.
Is it me or are all semi religeous radio and tv stations just a little
creepy?
A kind of naivity coupled with blatent indoctrination.

All religions are a little creepy, at best.
