Afaik, it's the bigger brother of the 32" I've got and I can't really
fault it, unless I'm being picky. Does the job fine. You really must
get into the settings menu and re-set the out-of-the-box display, as a
surprising number of new-buy customers don't know how, can't be arsed,
or have visual taste and acuity of an earthworm.
That done, it's a very good picture.
Of course, the sound is crap, from tiny speakers firing downwards, but
the sound out RCA jacks carry a good quality signal to feed an
external amp.

It's also an LCD. I feel that the picture on most cheaper edge-lit
LED sets are inferior to what was around a few years ago. Two friends
have bought the Sony 503 replacement (703 / 713) and the picture is
definitely not as good..

LCDs are also thicker than LEDs which must marginally inprove sound.

When I bought my 503 the panel was made by SLCD, which was generally
reckoned to be one of the best around (32 and 40 inch Samsungs and
Sonys).

Go for it.
