Well, despite a couple of re-boots, it's not even showing on the EPG of my
FoxSat, so it's all a bit odd at present !

Have you tried a Freesat Tune?

Menu Set up Freesat Tune

That is safe to try as it will not interfere with the recording
schedule.

Thanks Peter, I'll give that go if the channels are not added by this time
tomorrow. I'd like to understand why they are not added for me, yet are for
others ?

I did a retune to get the new channels. I think the box will
automatically add them during the night after it does the check for new
software.

Hardly the seamless experience that it is for Sky boxes IMHO !

From Sky News, Pick TV or Challenge

I retuned my Humax HD Freesat and lost my schedules.
The new channels weren't added automatically.
I found Sky at 202. What are the channel numbers for Pick TV and
Challenge?

It's working now. Must have been a startup glitch.

Have seen on Twitter Sky News and 2 others coming the 3rd. December
Freesat, anyone confirm?

If $ky News comes it will to the slot left vacant for it on 202.

AKA (a music channel) came to 512 with the last night or two.

If yes will Sky News be in HD like the Japan one?

Historically the only reason why $ky News is free is because in some
jurisdictions it had to be.

AFAIK this no longer applies, but who would pay a sub just for $ky News when
there are a dozen news channels at least, so they are stuck running it.

It was very good in the past, but has declined in quality and objectivity in
the last decade, although not as badly as some of its detractors say. More
serious was that the text disappeared to be repalced with pay Spam on
Freeview.

Teletext news is still available on Freeview. It takes patience and
button-pushing to get to it.

From Sky News, Pick TV or Challenge

I'm very surprised,

I found Sky at 202. What are the channel numbers for Pick TV and
Challenge?

144: Pick TV and 145: Challenge.

No, but Russia Today is HD, but not AFAIK yet in the EPG (will check)
