Default 3D From BBC

I am happy to say the BBC have got a lot better at this 3D thing.
The Saturday highlights show is the best I have seen from them.
Thank goodness they have unbolted the graphics from the edge of the
screen. Now they float in a natural way.

The results are superb. Well worth watching. Good medal count as well.

Can't say I've noticed the graphics being attached to the edge of the
screen. Looking back through my recordings, there has always been a
healthy spacing and a negative parallax of around 10 pixels, thus making
the graphics float slightly in front of the screen.

Maybe you've changed a setting on your TV? If I select 16:9 as opposed
to "Full" (overscan on/off), then some of the graphics (e.g.
stopwatch) come very close to the edge, but I can only do this in 2D.
Selecting 3D automatically displays the full 1920x1080 (or 1088 ?) frame
on my TV.

Agreed :-)

Seems totally typical that we can do 3D but cannot actually get an extra
sound channel to work properly on Freeview, ie audio description.
