Default Stargate SG-1 Alert

If anyone has a Season Pass FRO for the subject program on the
SciFi channel, the episode scheduled to air on 7/25 might not record.
The SciFi web site has it as "Enemy Mine" and lists it in season 7.
Tribune Media dropped the first run flag and original air date
for this episode, or SciFi didn't provide correct episode info.
Don't blame TiVo for this mistake.

Renewed for an 8th season as well as a spin-off, Stargate:Atlantis, which
should premier in summer '04.

I'm happy that Stargate has turned out to be so successful, since I
like Richard Dean Anderson. It's also good that something's there to
distract us from Enterprise, which is nothing but a colossal waste of
time. I would be more hopeful about the reboot working, except that
the same two producers have been left in place. They are idiots.

The only downside to Stargate in reference to R.D.Anderson is in regards to
MacGyver. I can't watch it anymore. All I do is think to myself, "What a
pansy"...

Use your Tivo to change the way you watch any series but the very, very
best.

Record the series with a season pass (if it's first run.) Then go
to various sites that conduct votes on the quality of the episodes.
For example, gateworld for Stargate, treknation for Enterprise.

Wait a few days for the poll results to come in. Set a threshold, and
if it scores under the threshold, delete it, otherwise watch it at your
leisure.

It's amazing. You get TV series with no episodes that are turkeys. If
you need to follow the plot, the web sites post written summaries that
can keep you going without having to watch the stinkers. You get
to watch only the finest episodes.

Sure, your tastes will not match the average exactly, but this is a
pretty good method for finding both the sinkers and the gems.

Of course if you _love_ the series, then watch it all if you have time.
If the series can't manage one good episode out of 2, it's probably not
watching.

I'm almost done with Stargate this way, it's how I watch enterprise and
now how we have started with Buffy. These series are quite good if you
watch only the best.
