I hate dogs they are so distracting!

The Channel providers seem to think we need reminding what channel
we are watching!

If they are for that reason, why are they not used in commercial
breaks, is it because those paying for the adverts do not want them
either? Mick.

But.. but...but.. the BBC does not have commercial breaks (it says
here).

Hi Davey,
Yes I realise that but the BBC do have their own
adverts for programmes though, and the other freeview HD channels do
have adverts! Mick.

I know, hence my note: "it says here".

Well it does make it *slightly* easier to skip the commercials.

Don't laugh, I think the BBC HD 3D tests *did* have the BBC logo
floating in front of the screen, I only saw them by masking the two
halves of the screen from sight of each eye with my hands and going
cross-eyed ... maybe John Legon will be along to confirm?

Just noticed this morning that the DOG seems to have disappeared from
BBC1 HD (Freesat). Is this connected to the final analogue switchoff, I
wonder?

It's back this afternoon. :-(

Yes. The logo on the 3D pop demo appeared to float in front of the
background, which had depth 'behind' the screen, but I don't think it
was brought forward any distance in front of the screen. It was in the
screen plane IIRC.

Well some channels have animated DOGs which is annoying enough.

Not channels that normal people watch, though.

If not enough people, normal or otherwise, were watching these
TV stations, they would not still be broadcasting.

In time they will be on all channels they seem to be getting there.
