Can I format the hard disc on a Sagemcom DTR67500T ?

Hi all,

I have a Sagemcom DTR67500T that I bought in Oct 2010.



I wish to do some maintenance on the recorder And have watched all the pre
recorded programmes stored on the 500 GB hard drive, I would like to format
the drive before recording on it again.



I cannot seem to find any information on doing this either in the Manuel or
in the settings on the menu!

Can you help please?

A lot of Manuels can be difficult to understand, although it may help
if you can speak Spanish. Some of them may even be fawlty.

Perhaps if the partition table is wiped (using a PC), firmware might
initiate a rebuild. Perhaps try this with a scrap drive?

In case anyone else has a Sagemcom DTR675OOT hard disc freeview
recorder,
I have had a reply from Sagemcom support that the drive cannot be formatted
in the unit.

Why? Is the filesystem corrupted? Do you mean just reinitialising the
filesystem, or some kind of surface format to sort out bad sectors?

In some Humax Hard disc recorders there is an option to format the disc when
doing a factory re set.

I just wanted to find out if I could do it with the Sagemcom.



It is not important just me thinking too much !!!!!
