Anyone know if there is a problem with the CP digital TV signal?

As of 14/03/2012, we too have lost Channel 22 - ITV, C4, Five - but all
other channels (The BBC and Sky's) seem nominal (99% strength). We are
getting a very weak signal on this mux at present.

We are South of Crystal Palace and line of sight to it.

So far this and digital-secret-agent have been the only accurate source of
confirmation of a problem.

It'll be being hammered by Belmont BBC A, and possibly also
Saint-Pieters-Leeuw in Belgium, both high power users of UHF Ch 22

Why would you want to do a stupid thing like that? Even people

the normal service area avoid that one.

Well, when I say, listen, it was more like, monitor ;-)

"Endure" is the word you're looking for, or whatever that is in Welsh.
;-)

I'm sure J G Miller is busy googling right now to tell us !

Whilst he's there, he can also tell us how many poor disadvantaged Welsh
people there are who can speak Welsh but can't speak English.

Whenever I drive anywhere near any of the radio stations where I have
installed the tx aerial I always tune in and endure the appalling racket
just so I can say "That's coming though my aerial, that is!"

So you're responsible for Heart?

Once again you only reveal your deep seated bigotry and wilful ignorance
of the relationship between culture and language.

What about the Welsh people who are perfectly happy with their "culture"
but have absolutely no wish to speak a dead language?

We solved ours by removing the seats at the bus stop.

Cymraeg is not a dead language.

And nobody is forcing anybody to listen to or watch radio or TV
stations in Cymraeg contrary to what you are trying to portray.

If you want to get worked up about languages, have a look at the
list of all the languages other than English which broadcast
television receving fee licence payers are funding for analog TV
switch off in the London region.

http://www.digitaluk.co.UK/web_accessibility/languages/languages

If they do not understand English, why do they care about the
switch off of analog TV English language only transmissions?

No, but up until 1998 there was no possibility for many people in Wales
to receive Channel 4. For some, unless they used Freesat or Sky, that
opportunity didn't occur until DSO in 2009/10.

The IBA concentrated their efforts in 1982 equipping all six main
transmitters, and virtually every relay in the principality for S4C, at
the expense of other larger sites in England, Scotland, and NI that had
to wait for months, if not years, before they carried C4.

C4 HD on DTT is now denied to the Welsh population because S4C HD have
been granted the bandwidth.

No. Only did an rx aerial for them.
