Last ones I bought (over a year ago) were at Wilkinson. Are they no
longer available there?

Are they any good? I bought a Belling-Lee from there and it's ally crap -
eneded up using the old one (certainly 30 yo) with a bit of cleaning and
reshaping.

The last F-connectors I bought were from Satbuyer as they are the 'good'
ones and far better than a couple I got from a local aerial shop (now
closed)a couple of yeras ago.

The question was whether or not they were available... ;-)

As they are the only ones I've used, I have nothing to compare them
with. But they seemed ok, nothing more.

They still seem to be available:

Useful to know, thanks. Looks as if Satbuyer's are the same now - the ones
that I had a few months ago had a thicker hexagon, so a bit easier to use as
the spanner held better.
If ordering enough to warrant an online puchase, those same 2 connectors are
44p, not £2.08!

Perhaps it is in Kabul. No problem in the UK.

I've never been there, but the distinction between B2C and B2B outlets
tends to be much more a Western thing.

You're better off ringing a local installer and buying a few off him!

People ring me all the time asking to pop over and buy stuff. I'm happy to
oblige, I make a few ££ for doing not much, and they get decent materials
for less than the DIY sheds charge for poor quality alternatives!

Default F-connectors on the high street? update

Hi folks.

I had a look in some shops in my part of Nottingham and found:

Boyes (North Midlands and Yorkshire chain):
- £1.35 for a pack of two F connectors and
- £1.35 for a pack of two F connectors and a coupler.

If that pricing seems odd, how about this at Homebase:
- £2.79 for a pack of two F plugs and
- £2.79 for a pack of two F plugs and a coupler and
- £2.79 for a coupler by itself

Wilkinson (country wide chain) pricing seems to make more sense:
- £2.08 for a pack of two F connectors and
- £2.38 for a pack of two F connectors and an inline coupler.

I couldn't find any F connectors at my local B&Q.

Regards, Ian.

They did have them last time I looked - but my local one is a large one.

Toolstation (OK so Queen's Drive is hardly the high street)

£1.31 for a pack of ten F connectors.
