Default DAB radio

Is there a newsgroup for DAB radio and if there is am I not seeing it
because of Virgins newsgroup server?

I will ask my question anyway.

I live in Perth but used to live in Glenrothes and while there I listened to
Radio Forth.

I can listen to Forth one on FM and Forth 2 on AM but no matter how much I
scan I cannot receive them on my DAB radio.

Is it not possible or do I need a better aerial? Or do I need to somehow
enter the frequencies manually. And if so what are the frequencies?

I know that during the day the programmes are the same as Radio Tay AM and
FM but the adverts are different.

Thanks.

The question is, much as it seems to be in many places, the station you
really want is not on a multiplex local enough to get it or at least
without boiling mud syndrome.

Doesn't seem to take much to knack a DAB signal. I'm in north London and
even here, BBC stations are fine but others vary from acceptable to useless.
This on a Roberts WM202 in our kitchen.

Sadly, there's no transmission type that works perfectly with too low a
signal.

That's true but at least with analogue I can listen to a crackly signal if I
want. The stations I can't get on DAB are pretty "local", and of course
digital is "all or nothing".

Thinks - where would Radio Caroline, and as a result BBC Radio1 and it's
ilk, have been had transmissions been digital in the 60s ;-).

You imply analogue never disappears completely?

Even the number of 'mitters they have in service in the London area...
