Default ye olde Humax DTT boxes

We sold quite a few of these over the years, while you could still get
them. Remember them? -- square corner and a huge remote, nice OSG?

There must be quite a few still in use, because we're getting a trickle
of calls all basically complaining that a re-tune produces the message
'channel list exceeded by 4' (or some other number). I had a look at one
of these boxes just now. You can't delete individual rubbish channels
because the box won't store anything once it's displayed that message.
You have to delete everything (select all, delete) and try again. A
factory reset and a bandpass filter seems to work for Emley Moor, but I
wonder if anyone in an area where there are three or four intermingled
receivable txes might have a real problem.

Good luck if you decide to discuss it with Humax. They bring customer
(dis)service into another league!
