Default No chat about Waltham DSO1 then?

There is far more chatter on this NG about Belmont DSO and for
Tacolneston.... but no chatter about Waltham DSO1 which happened 2 days ago.

Does nobody in the NG use Waltham then? :-)

Stephen.

I do, but I haven't watched anything since DSO1, so not retuned TV or
PVR yet.

Everybody who was using Waltham now seems to be using Belmont, and not
out of choice. The bloody thing gets everywhere and because it's at the
bottom of the band, lots of things use it in preference as the Auto-scan
starts at the bottom. It's a complete bloody PITA.

It's a great pity they had to use ch29 for Waltham. Otherwise a Gp CD
bandpass filter would have helped a lot.

Will anything be done about this Belmont situation?
In the old days analogue was a problem, they lowered the mast one thing.
Will Freeview boxes get updated to make them get correct region channels do
you think or are the Freeview people not that good?

David

Still wouldn't stop the sharks "upgrading" everyone to from ancient C/D
aerials to wideband though ...

No.

Please could you restate this is a meaningful manner.

No.

You do not understand what the Freeview people are -- they are
merely a marketing organisation which neither manufactures the
hardware nor writes the software for the boxes.

In fact, it is highly likely that the Freeview organisation
will be disbanded in 2013 as it will no longer have a purpose.

I re-tuned five TVs and boxes without issue and assume that I'm still
receiving Waltham.

The mast is not as high as it was at first, a section at the top was removed
thus the aerials were not as high up.

So who is responsible for the specifications that the boxes are made to to
receive?
( Looks like SKY and Freesat made a better job of it.)

Those of you who deal with the public what are they making of this Belmont
Look North taking over all of this great Yorkshire, Norfolk and Midlands
area, or as Joe Public not noticed?
