Default The 'One Show' glitch

This was discussed here a few months back, a split second glitch shortly
after the start of the show, visible on the regional BBC1 channels. The
problem was apparently linked to the switching from preceeding regional news
programmes back to the main BBC1 network feed.

Just checked over the last few days and the glitching appears to have
stopped? Just wondering what might have changed technically?

Is this watching analogue or digital ? There is indeed a glitch seen on
analogue, but you shouldn't see a glitch via digital, except perhaps a
split second before the regional studio actually goes to air.

In regions where analogue is now switched off, there should be no
glitches on digital at the opt points, because the 'ganging' together of
analogue and digital feeds for opting is no longer required,

Indeed I've seen in some regions (North West, and the Cambridge version
of Look East) dissolves from network to local and back.
They've finally caught up with what the ITV regions were managing in the
early 1980s :-)

Watching digital and was very noticable and apparent until quite recently,
typically causing split second pixellation. Always at the same time, during
the continuity trailer(s) between the regional prog and The One Show and a
few seconds after the show's opening credits had ended.

I was in the NE a couple of weeks ago and there were flashes of 14x9
network going out on digital on some bulletins.

Our audio still glitches. Nobody seems bothered, especially not the S
company (now the A company) who installed the kit and then buggered off.

Nothing to do with DSO. The glitch(es) continued in the Winter Hill region
for a good 18 months AFTER DSO.

it isn't anything to do with the studio end of regional news switching
in the Mendip area, I can guarantee you that.
