All sport should be on pay TV. I don't have a problem with sports going to pay TV provided that a) it is FTA b) there are sensible micro payments for individual sports/events I do have a problem with it going to a subscription service where you have to pay extra (and/or install extra kit) to even think about receiving it and where the only way of getting it is as part of a bundled subscription with 15 other sports that you may have no interest in. tim |

Even so I suspect that it would be technically near nigh impossible to
prevent people in the UK from watching it free to air from Astra with the present setup. "Brian Gaff" wrote in message ... rtl own part of Sky anyway? At least sports people have skills. You could buy 10 very good and telented celebrities for the price of one talented in a narrow field but a moron in every other respect Wayne Rooney. The problem with sport, is there's just so much of it these days. With multi-channel TV there's simply no need to infest every channel with it any more. |

Better than the rest of us having to pay for all sport on FTA TV via the BBC licence fee. Paying a subscription is still cheaper than actually going to the event. |

Well they used to.. I wonder who does actually own Sky these days, one might
be forgiven for thinking its a chain of fast food outlets... Brian -- Brian Gaff - Note:- In order to reduce spam, any email without 'Brian Gaff' in the display name may be lost.
