I have noticed a problem with audio drop-out on 1080p transmissions
with my Sony Bravia KDL-37EX503. I believe this is a known issue but I have been able to find very little information. Does anyone know about this one? |

Not so, strictly speaking, the BBC have been dynamically switching BBC HD on DTT between 1080i and 1080(25)p since late March. Now it can be either: http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/23/b...t-all-sony-hd/ |

I've certainly never spotted any 25p recordings on satellite, are they switching per programme based on the type or source of material, or do the encoders decide GOP-by-GOP which format to use? |

It's only on terrestrial at present, and only on the BBC HD channel, not BBC 1 HD or ITV and 4HD. The switching is determined by the encoder on a GOP by GOP basis. -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. www.paras.org.uk |
