Does anyone monitor sound levels on transmissions these days? We have
been blasted with sound several times this evening on BBC1 Sandy
Heath. It seems to be getting very common recently.

Same at this end (Rowridge). A particular gripe of mine is the different
sound levels during regional opt-outs.

Funny, because quite apart from manual monitoring (if anyone does it these
days), you'd think automatic sound level control would be so simple
nowadays...

It's not and may never be. As there's lots more to it than simple levels.
