Default Test Card F (W in widescreen)

I've got a new telly coming and I'd like to find Test card F to play
with the settings.

Something like this used to work, but now I can't seem to bring it to
life:

1. Tune to the BBCi channel (currently ch. 105)
2. When the BBCi background appears, press Yellow (within 30 secs)
3. Tune away to a different channel
4. Tune back to the BBCi channel (currently ch. 105)
5. When the BBCi background appears, press Green (within 30 secs)
The word 'Secret' will appear in the top right hand corner
6. Wait until the status page appears
7. Enter 3, 3, 5, 8, 2, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue
(note "33582" spells out the word "DELTA" on a mobile phone keypad)
8. Wait approximately 30 seconds
Test card W will appear

Is it still there ?

Thanks.

Slightly bad form to answer my own post, but others may find this
useful.
Test card W is still there.
Here is the procedure that seems to work:

105
press yellow after first banner
BBC1
105
press green after first banner
press green again.

Is there any other hiddden stuff?
I'd like to see some horizontal panning action.

Enjoy

Simpler than that.

1. Tune to the BBCi channel (currently ch. 105)
2. When the BBCi background appears, press Yellow (within 30 secs)
3. Tune away to a different channel
4. Tune back to the BBCi channel (currently ch. 105)

Right so far

The word 'Secret' will appear in the top right hand corner

I don't see that, the status page appears immediately.

The (as instructed on the status page) press green for the test card.

It's not a *proper* test card, because it's got digital artefacts.

I haven't seen it recently, but last time I looked a test card was
broadcast on BBC HD some time around midday. It includes a check for
audio synchronisation.

Follow the instruction on the status page. i.e. press Green. Test card W
will appear.

It appears where the time is/was.

Both tests come round every 60-90 mins during the preview loop.

You can say that again! OK for checking centering and overscan, but
not much else.

..
In terms of "playing with the settings", someone once posted a guide to
using testcard to set up a monitor or telly, but I've lost the
reference. That instruction could also prove useful to the poster if it
could be repeated?
