More snow pictures. In the end we had to use machinery to get the snow
cleared. Then it snowed again!

Yes, we all help each other out, in different ways.

Similarly, it's great how the people of Anston (near here) have done so
much for the stranded drivers on the A57. It's been quite a major event,
although not much reported nationally.

Thats the RIGHT coloured loader! (even if it is french...)

Tim.

When I was very small my dad built a sidecar (for a motorbike) and I was
asked what colour I would like it to be. I replied 'bite yed' (bright
red) and the expression became a bit of a family expression. Father,
being a dour person, painted the sidecar black, which might explain why
I'm such a traumatised person.

But anyway, the loader is fabulous. Incredibly manoeuvrable and powerful.

I'm surprised no-one's commented on the rather rude snow persons shown
in my first batch of pictures. It was outside a pub, and they had a
funeral the next day.

There was an interview with one of the trapped drivers on Radio 4 this
morning.

Followed by a person responsible for UK's trunk roads who didn't seem to
realise
that there were problems up north.

North?? As in Watford?

When you repeated that first one again, I thought for a moment that you were referring to
your dad as "the machinery ..."

Is that really a massive shovel he's wielding there?

On closer inspection, it looks as if it might be a piece of plywood nailed to a length of
2 x 2, though ...

The snow people?!

And shouldn't it be 'People of Snowy Ethnicity' - you don't want to be
accused of inducing hurty feelings in anyone. And for Pete's sake, can
you please stop posting such colossal pictures, etc etc.
