Well I assume it's copyright branding to deter piracy. To be fair the BBC HD and BBC1 HD logos are among the most unobtrusive. I wish a lot of others would be similarly subtle. -- Geoff Berrow (Put thecat out to email) It's only Usenet, no one dies. My opinions, not the committee's, mine. Why is it beyond the wit of man to make this corporate graffiti switchable? Well I assume it's copyright branding to deter piracy. I don't know why so many people assume this. These semi-transparent DOGs can be removed in software, so they're no trouble to "pirates". Also, BBC Three has an obvious DOG, BBC One doesn't - but I know which channel carries higher value programming! If someone posts The Antiques Roadshow in HD to YouTube, it doesn't need a DOG to show where it came from. If someone sells a pirate DVD of Hustle, it doesn't matter where it came from or whether it has a DOG - the copyright infringement remains exactly the same. To be fair the BBC HD and BBC1 HD logos are among the most unobtrusive. I wish a lot of others would be similarly subtle. The BBC shouldn't have any at all, and the other PSB channels should, at most, be as obvious as the current BBC HD one, but placed bottom right rather than top left. IMO! Cheers, David. |

Since I managed to get the inbuilt FV tuner working by feeding it enough, I've not used FTA Satellite except for Film 4 and ITV 4. -- Peter. The gods will stay away whilst religions hold sway |
