There should be an option to remove all logos with Sky, Freesat,
Freeview, Cable etc. With Sky you can press the backup button to
remove annoying red dots and other interactive branding from the
screen but its only a temporary solution and after the next
advertising break they usually re-appear. You also can't remove the
main channel branding. There should be a button that permanently
removes it all so you at least have the option, and it should remember
your preference too.

Does anyone know whatever happened to the Campaign for Logo Free TV?
Their URL seems to be some sort of Japanese site now.

It now seems to be all channels doing it not just the ones you have
through a Sky box. Some of the logos are ridiculous too they take up
large tracts of the screen. There is one channel I know of that had a
logo in the top left, top right and bottom left too and even bigger
ones that popped up while you were watching a film to advertise what
was on that channel next. When they popped up it also made a loud
sound clip that was considerably louder than the programme you were
watching. I complained about it to a few different places and they
said there was nothing they could do about it because it wasn't a
regular advertisement it was part of the channels own promotion or
something along those lines. So the only option I had was complain
directly to the channel who were not going to listen anyway so I just
stopped watching that channel.

These complaining posters are just little old women with nowt to do put
post
silly things.

I'm not a little old woman but a big old man who hates DOGs. I find
DOGs distract me from program watching because my eyes always drift up
to the DOG.

Steve

try watching something other than corry or east enders then...

With FTA satellite receivers, the red dots never appear thankfully.

You also can't remove the main channel branding.

It is all part of a cunning plan that if you want to watch a show
in its pristine format, you have to buy the DVD/Blu-Ray release
after the season has completed.

Some of the logos are ridiculous too they take up
large tracts of the screen.

Agreed, ever watched OTV? Complete with animated DOG and
constant tickertape and swirling background studio set?

Surely the ultimate in distracting over the top graphics.

I've nearly stopped watching BBC News24 due to half the screen being taken up
by non-transparent captions, completely eradicating a lot of the original
picture(including original captions). This often means the coverage is
broken.

I already avoid five due to the DOG so changing it won't make any
difference.

I find people like you a bit strange to be honest. I watch "programmes"
not "channels". If there's a programme that I want to watch, I watch it,
DOG or not. I hate DOGs but they are here to stay so I'm not going to cut
off my nose to spite my face.

I watch TV programmes NOT DOG ****. If DOG **** comes with the programme I
either source the programme without DOG **** or don't watch it.

No worthy programme is ever only available with DOG ****.

I'm just the same. The problem is that we are down to only watching
BBC 1 & 2. Most of the time that's all I want!

No one of any genius or significant importance would confine their media
career to only appearing on a DOG **** flawed minority audience channel with
an audience the size of a cricket arena.

Anyone of any importance to the world with any idea of any significance
would appear on a DOG ****-less channel and more importantly in the books,
newspapers, t'interweb feeds, and blogosphere that many members of public
including I widely survey.

DOG **** is the signifier of unimportance, irrelevance, and insignificance.

Many of us out here know what it means.
