A better pic would help immeasurably. What markings are on it?

None, just the numbers mentioned.

Obviously I cannot see this, but there is a third thing about electrolytic

Yes, yes, as much as we all know you are top posting scum

Idiot.

I think it quite impressive that Brian manages to post at all,
considering he is blind.

As he physically can't see where his cursor is to avoid top posting I
think it would be a little difficult for him to do so.

A thermal fuse probably; the 216K the temperature at which it gives

Would you like to reconsider that?

Yebbut 216 degrees is a common value for thermal fuses e.g

It looks for all the world like a electrolytic capacitor.

Could be but one end seems to be pointy. It could be a diode or even a fuse.

Heh. I was thinking -57C was a bit conservative.

Would be a bit of a bugger to store, that's for sure.

216*K* was what threw me there.

But putting an upper case K after a temparature expressed in Centigrade?

A most axial leaded thermal fuses are pointy at one end, although it
doesn't matter which way around they are fitted

The "K" may have nothing to do with temperature - it could be some other
