Default Sagemcom Hard Disc recorder problem

Hi all,

Sorry if this it too far OT.

Is there is another group that covers this?

Has anyone yet bought a Sagemcom DTR 67500T ECO UK

Recorder with hard disc and double tuners.

I bought one last week, it set up easy enough.

But twice now in the week it has turned itself completely off.

I have checked the fuse which is a 5amp one.

After a while it has come on again, but of course is not reliable like this.

I wondered if anyone had any thoughts.

I will be taking it back to Curries tomorrow.

Mick.

Check the menus. Many boxes these days have auto power off if
they think they are not being used - SKY STB's being the main
example - and it can be switched off. It's what comes of a vocal
minority called the Greens.

And it's Curry's by the way.

Hi Woody,
Thanks for replying.
Spelling has never been good with me!

The recorder is going off even while it is recording, just as if it was
turned off.

Default Sagemcom Hard Disc recorder problem

Hello Brian,

I have been trying to go through things and it seems to
be a bad connection coming out of the transformer in the main electric lead
to the recorder.

I will go back to the shop and see what they say.

It is on an exchange type warrantee.

Mick.

Sounds like psu problems or some junk from the psu confusing the
software. I had a computer like this once, and a new psu fixed it.

No it isn't, there's no apostrophe in Currys.

Like most modern speeling, with the rebrand the apostrophe has
been removed - but it did used to be there when Dixons were still
on the High Street.

Hi all,
Problem solved,
I returned it to Currys and got a new one in
exchange.
All seems to be ok at the moment.
Thanks for your help,
Mick.
