Daddy I'm trying to find flat-screen TVs that will fit in a particular space (for example: 42"W by 26"H). Isn't there a way to see the overall dimensions of all (or many) TVs rather than having the look at particular models on each manufacturers' websites?) |

Crutchfield used to list them in their printed catalogs (and may still). You may be able to find a chart on their website. |

Go to a website like http://www.crutchfield.com/, mark the "compare" box on the models that interest you, then click on "compare." You will get a comparison of the make/models that you chose. For example: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/CompareTo.aspx?g=347750&cc=01&compareItems=01|1584 0EX500&compareItems=01|68942LD550&compareItems=01| 15840EX600&compareItems=01|30540C5000 Do a little research. |

When you do find a set which fits into the space you're measuring for, be mindful of heat dissipation. If it's very tight, install a whisper fan behind the unit on the top. Heat is not you friend when it comes to electronics. A_C |

Cnet.com used to have a cabinet size search engine in which you plug
in your maximum space dimensions, and it will list what TV's will fit in there. But I just tried looking on their website and can't find it anywhere. Like others said, look on the manufacturer's website, but regardless, go down to the TV showroom with your own ruler and confirm the measurements yourself. |
