Undercover boss, where bosses who are not known get jobs in the companies
various departments and watch the employees ruin the companies reputation?
I noted a programme of this title recently won some American award, so I
expect some idiot will make it.

Now my suggestions.
Digital switchover - Fly on the wall drama of a council trying to get all
his blocks fitted up with digital before the looming deadline..
Top Totty audio challenge.
Where eye candy type ladies try to find a way to get the best audio in car
and at home from high street stores etc.

Watch the mcp assistants blinding them with pseudo science.

grin

Already been done over here, only seen one of them and the MD was quite
down to earth and made changes as a result of the problems he found, it
could all too easily follow the secret millionaire format though

Wasn't that Undercover Boss where the boss worked on the shop floor as
an ordinary employee and found out what was really happening rather
than find out third or fourth hand what was said to be happening?

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/undercover-boss

Which isn't quite what is implied in what Brian says. His description
seems to put the premise the other way round where the boss is there
to find out what the employees are up to, rather than find out what
ways the boss can improve the workplace.

I think that it is.

In the first series the boss(es) noted the problems and made changes within
their company to fix them.

In the second series almost all that happened is the boss(es) rewarded with
prizes the people who were luckily selected to be shadowed.

What's the point of this format?

I would have thought that the most telling thing for the bosses was that
the employees haven't a clue who they are.

Back in the day of course, bosses rose up from the shop floor so should not
have had to do such a thing.

A service that is actually usable by blind people, not just a box having
been ticked by some moron.
