The Saturday Play (R4 2.30pm Saturday) was very entertaining, but it
was also an hour of almost undiluted socialist clap trap. I don't mind that, but will they put on a play next week that's an hour of right wing clap trap, just to even things up? I very much doubt it. Bill |

So a play about a famous Socialist (George Orwell) was socialist? Would you also accuse a play about Hitler of being undiluted fascistic clap trap? When there is a similar play about Hitler we can see what Bill says. I'd advise you not to hold your breath waiting for it though.... |

Also why was there not an opinion expressed concerning the documentary on BBC Radio 4 "Hitler's Muslim Legions" available at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t3ybj Only TWO, yes that's TWO days left to listen! |

Fred X The play included several monologues extolling socialist values. That's fine, but can you point me to a play about a famous right wing figure with a similar amount of propagangist baggage? How do you know that the play you listened to wasn't, itself, balance for an earlier piece from the other end of the political spectrum. Maybe a programme you didn't catch. There's been no such play. Prove me wrong. It should be easy if in fact I am wrong. Bill |

That was another example of covert BBC lefty propaganda. 'The Muslims were sucked into supporting Fascism. Really they're just like us.' How patronising, both of Muslims and of others. Bill |

Bill Maybe now with the change we might see more 'centre of the road' people getting promoted in the BBC but I doubt it - they are so well ensconced. You only have to watch them turning up for work with their Guardians and Voice's tucked in their briefcases but still showing, almost like a badge of honour, to realise just HOW leftwing the BBC really has become. -- John the West Ham fan |
