Well that is far better than the product spec. which says 200 mtrs. Regards David |

Regards David Hi, I understand that signal wise it is said that generally it is rare, unlikely or very low signal leakage out back past your electricity board / meter and will then only be to every third other house (as I understand that is how three phase power is split to residential houses - one phase to each house, one after the other, three in a row). Thus the distance to the next house would typically be really quite significant further given the damping / attenuation at the electricity board / meter at your property. The second thing is that in any event (e.g. a converted building with say flats all on the same phase), they are supposed to be or at least I believe can be set-up with encryption much like Wi-Fi (wireless / WLAN internet), so even if someone else could pick up the signal (which should be is border line or very unlikely at best [in most cases / scenarios - usual residential property street format) the data can be encrypted, etc. (making trivial or pedestrian use of your services almost impossible and data access or theft quite unlikely and difficult at best - assuming best encryption standards, settings and configurations [all of which change over time as does computer power and hence decryption capabilities]). So far as we're concerned, our nearest neighbour is 150 metres away on the other side of the road. They haven't reported any problems. -- Alan White Mozilla Firefox and Forte Agent.
