I don't bother with it any more. When it had Brummie bloke and the funny
looking Irish bird it was quite good because you could sense something was
going on between them, but now it's just like breakfast television.
Incidentally I'm of the generation that finds people sitting on sofas in
the morning objectionable. If you're lucky enough to have a settee you
shouldn't sit on it in the morning. You get up, have a ****, and if you
have time to sit at all (excepting the previous occupation) before you go
to work you do it on a hard chair in the kitchen. You don't go in the
parlour until after you've had your tea that night. Then you remove the
cloth from the television and watch Panorama.

Ok. So is your point that no-one, say, teaching/learning gce O level says
"the average" or "on average"?

You keep asking people what their point is, and saying that various
types of average are not "an average" or "the average" or whatever, but
your initial contribution was to claim that it is wrong to refer to
median and mode as *types* of average, you still haven't provided any
source to back this up that exists outside of your head.

When are we going to get a political party with the rude word deleted

If you're worried by the word "********" to the point where you have
to edit it out, then you have more serious things to deal with than
media ownership.
