Default Can any channel get their EPGS correct?

Further to the ITV EPG thread, I'm just at my wits end with the EPGs on
all the channels. What is the point of them if the channels start the programs
early or end them late and don't update the bloody EPGS?? I'm now always
having to add 2 minutes here or 2 minutes there just to make sure I get the
whole program. I might just as well go back to using a VCR!

FFS , can't they sort this mess out?

Thing is, people only record programmes they want to watch. If they can't
get what they want, what's the point of a recorder?

Until now. Have you seen the new PVRs made by Murphy in Ireland? They
record all the stuff you don't want to see it play it back while
you're out.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Java Jive
saying something like:

Broadcast schedules should be treated no differently from the
advertisements that in effect they are - decent, HONEST, TRUTHFUL!

It's one thing I really do miss about the bad old days - BBC
timekeeping. I can imagine how many trainees were ceremonially hung,
drawn and quartered for failing to keep a tidy eye on the clock.

Me too!

The new (secondhand) Toppy I just got has the Freeview Playback
software and it's pants. Next job will be to find where I downloaded
the software that ignores the signalling and lets me add padding
properly and downgrade it.

That will half fix the problem anyway, either the EPG or Digiguide
might be correct from time to time fume

www.toppy.org.uk

... which is the answer to (Toppy) Life, the (Toppy) Universe and (Toppy)
Everything.

Sounds as though you have a 5810. You want the *recommended* firmware, which
most certainly /= the *latest* firmware.
