aside from him not being as funny as terry what's him being gay got to
do with it?

I don't have any issue with him being gay - I just find his over the top
camp voice *really* irritating.

Still , I know I don't like him or the Eurovision and didn't waste my time
watching it then complaining on the internet

He seemed OK at first, but I started to get sick of the steadily
increasing number of his snide remarks. It got particularly bad towards
the end, when each country was giving its results. OK, we all know it's
absolutely excruciating, but there's no need to go on and on and on
about it - especially about the occasionally halting English (and
French). [How many languages does Graham Norton speak?] Can't we have
Katie Boyle back? 'Nul pwong' for GN, I'm afraid.

Actually, that's exactly how I feel. I don't give a toot about his
sexuality, but that ridiculously affected camp voice (and behaviour) is
fantastically irritating. Every time I see him on the telly I get a twitch
in my slapping hand.

I think Denmark were cheated, they quite clearly had the best song.
I'm sure that Norway would have loved that.

Brian being very silly again.

The result was obviously slewed in favour of Germany by the fact that
the song had been a number one hit all over Europe already.

The sheeple have spoken.

The "new" Eurovision isn't as funny as it used to be, for a number of
reasons.

Established pop stars are being used, and songs are released before the
competition, with videos.

Production values are higher.

The music is no longer stuck in the '50s, it's now in the '80s.

The UK entry was by far the worst, and was probably a song that was
rejected by Minogue, Astley and Donovan.

It seems Pete Waterman can no longer tell **** from shinola.

Well, you know, it could mean either stealing arses, or merely
stealing things from arses, such as hairs. I suppose it could be
tatooists who go round photographing arse tattoos, to copy them. Or it
could be people who use their own arses as a mode of transport whilst
engaged in theft -- they could for instance sledge naked down steep
icy slopes and bagsnatch en route. Possibly they would stash the bags
in their bottoms. Most improbable of all, I suppose, is that it could
mean people who like to thrust their erect throbbing penises into any
vaseline-lubricated quivering rectums that present themselves. No, it
won't be that... No-one would do that. It would be disgraceful
behaviour.

So how do you cope with the annoying voices/behaviour of say Alan Carr,
Ainsley Harriott, Justin Lee Collins? In my opinion they are infinitely
worse, but these things are subjective.

What stunned me was to find out that the main reason CH4 wouldn't / couldn't
pay Carol Vorderman the £750,000 she expected, was cos they'd paid
completely talentless Alan Carr £4M!

The sooner CH4 gets taken over or gets new management the better
(unless they want to pay me £4M to mince about)

Probably nothing at all, but the fact that this is one of the ways they
describe him seems to indicate that he is not exactly appreciated in the
role of Eurovision whit.

There are better folk around with more cutting whit than the tiny bit I
tolerated last night before reverting to Ken.

Whit? (as we say in Scotland) :-)

Alan Carr is just as bad as Norton although perhaps slightly wittier. Its
JLC's 'Farrah Fawcett' hairdo that just makes you want to punch him in the
face. I just don't watch any of them, as they rely on delivery not content
when they try (and fail) to be funny. Middle aged women seem to like them
for some reason though, judging by the audiences.
