...and for the rest of you Yes if you live in a "safe seat" constituency, your vote has never really mattered. Every election in the first past the post system is decided in the marginal "swing" seats, and that is why those are always targetted by the campaigns. |

I would prefer the Arab system of democracy but, unfortunately, it's not

Same here, and in fact in '97 when there was labour landslide, the local Tory increased his vote. Unfortunately, in peasant country they tend to vote for "Sir". -- Ian |
