I bought a 9200T due to the fact that it had an RF Modulator but the problem
is it seems this PVR is ****. It keeps locking up, unit takes ages to respond to remote commands, I know they said that would do an over the air update soon (mind you that was way before Christmas and still nothing) so working on the basis they have dumped it, I had an exchange done yesterday under warranty but already this morning it's playing up, so considering sending it back and upgrading to another model (will have to put DVD in to TV via composite as I only have 1 scart and new PVR will go into that one). So any suggestion don't need fat hard drive just need twin tuners for freeview Jim |

Delete any channels that you don't use from the listings and if you insist on turning the power off then expect it to be slow as it loads the EPG when you turn it on - so switch it on 10 mins before you need it. That's very odd. I've owned a 9200 since the day they came out, and although there are still some (fairly trivial) bugs remaining, this locking up you mention simply hasn't happened to mine for ages - a couple of years, maybe? It's true that sometimes it's a bit sluggish to respond to keypresses, but I should warn you that every PVR I've ever owned or used is much the same; cost reduction is a significant driver is all products of this type, and every one of them has the cheapest (thus slowest) microprocessor they can get away with. So, your experiences have me puzzled. They don't reflect mine, and I've had a lot of experience with the 9200T. And I'll tell you this: with the possible exception of the Topfield (same reference design), there is no better PVR. They ALL have bugs, glitches, and annoying pauses sometimes to keypresses. Where are you buying these from? The 9200 is long obsolete and no longer available via the retail channels. Are you buying reconditioned ones? If so, is this a trustworthy outfit that knows what they are doing? SteveT |

HTH -- Paul S Hi Paul no your right it's not a great solution but if it works then i'll do it, there are a few i don't watch so i'll get rid of them and see how that goes I did turn PVR on about 15 mins before i needed it and it played for 30 mins but when i tried to skip about 5 mins to the next episode (of the real hustle) it locked up then so i "thought i had given it enough chance but i'll wipe some of the channel and see if that helps, by the way do you mean wipe some TV channels only or can i wipe some radio as well. SteveT I bought first unit from Humax direct about 4 months ago problem was there aftre about a month but i just put up with it but it became more and more of an issue hence i gave up and asked for exchange which i got yesterday, I presxumed this would come out with latest software and fixed all bugs but it would seem I was wrong.
