A very nasty piece of work. I recently received an advert from
Homechoice pretending to be from United Utilities, trying to flog me
plumbing insurance. That's with the ASA at the moment.

How very interesting! I just happen to have a letter purporting to come
from Anglian Water (dated 29th February 2010!) trying to sell me
plumbing insurance! in my case, the company is called HomeServe.

In this case, the premises the letter relates to is served by the Essex
and Suffolk Water Company - Anglian Water are only responsible for the
sewerage!

That sounds more like it, sorry. I still have the letter at home. UU
logo in top left corner with lots of blank space around it. The crap
about it being Homechoice you have to unfold the first page to see.

Ugh. Two bills? I actually pay more for my water than I do for the
sewarage/groundwater removal.

I too have had serious words with my water suppliers about "HomeChoice"
marketing **** arriving in Water supplier company envelopes marked as
"Important Notice". It's not about my water supply and it's not something
anyone needs to respond to.
