That would have to include all those who bought DVD players, HD-DVD
players, and BR-DVD players. (sorry, couldn't resist that one.) It was
the promise of future movie releases (software) that justified those
purchases, including the initial releases.

snort What cost a thousand dollars? You've added 25% to the MSRP of a
*3-tuner* Moxi DVR with one Moxi Mate. Moxi has delivered on ALL promised
upgrades so far, so what makes you think they'll suddenly stop?

I was just lamenting the other night while watching "Mad Men", "Deadliest
Catch" and "Damages": "Gee, I wish I had the ability to watch these OTA."
The recent Emmy Awards had dozens of nominations of shows not available OTA.
Best Drama Series, Best Drama Actor, Best Drama Actress, Best Comedy Actress,
and more all went to NON-OTA programs. Limiting yourself to only OTA
programming is removing a lot of excellent programming, and adding a lot
of ****, to your TV viewing.

You can't plug a cablecard system into your vaunted MythTV and get

cable card system or a cable box receiver, and the content can be
recorded in MythTV.

I don't even know why one would even compare the two. Each was designed
for different purposes. The replay was once a nice recorder. In todays
world, it's antiquated without a digital tuner in it.
