Default Did I hear right?

Is the Post office boss now going to run ITV.

I'm sure there would be a joke there . A very bad one.

Yep.
The new Chief Exec used to run the Post Office, and the new Chairman
used to run a supermarket.
Enjoy

Absolutely...

He's going to "deliver" a world-class TV station.

You'll find it tucked inside yet another advertising leaflet and
left hanging out of your letterbox.

yeah, it wouldn't be funny but it's how things work nowadays. Doesn't
matter how bad someone is, they will be described as 'experienced'

Well the new boy, Adam Crozier, is certainly experienced. He started
with Saatchi & Saatchi scrambling up the ladder to become joint chief
executive. He became chief executive of The Football Association, and
then he headed the Royal Mail Group.

There must(?) be something relevant in there.

It's time this sort of thing was stamped out.

So who is going to finish of the post office. I use the term deliberately,

should be no shortage of spare channels very shortly.

I think I can guess what you mean. They'll close lots of regional
transmitting stations, the whole lot will stop broadcasting on Saturday
afternoons, and we'll have to wait at least 15 minutes every time we select
one of their channels.

I take it that is your frank opinion since you've posted it here?

It's not that long ago I used to defend the PO - at least here. First
delivery before I left for work and second one at lunchtime. Very rarely
anything lost. And a handy local but busy sub post office. But Parcel
Farce have deserved their nick for many a day.

Now there's one delivery at approx lunchtime - but can vary by up to two
hours either side. Sub post office closed - against their will - and the
next nearest one a main one which is ridiculously busy - you have to queue
for at least 20 minutes.

And this in Central London. I can only guess what it must be like in rural
areas.
