Lots to see (and criticize) on this page http://www.abaerials.co.uk (click
on gallery) starting with the mains cable running diagonally in the
plaster from TV to socket outlet. They've also nicked one of Bill's
pictures. It's about the only picture that doesn't feature a Triax Unix
52. One size obviously does fit all!

See if you can spot it: Cheers D

I don't see that company having a go at others and claiming to
correct lots of work and installations - but not being able to
name one single case or company involved. Not every company
is honest unfortunately and I get the impression some are run
by cowboys - especially when they keep claiming to correct work
undertaken by other companies.
I know who Trading Standards should be investigating. Remember
homes from hell? Guess which companies have been
recently filmed for a future TV programme.

This from the guy who posted "Winter Hill Off Air?" without checking
if he was the only one losing the signal.

It is the requirement for a

new Digital TV Aerial

that gives them away.

*Many thanks for spotting that! Your eidetic memory must be
exceptional. The cheeky ****ing ****s! I shall be writing to them
tomorrow. Honestly! What a cheek! It wouldn't be so bad if the rest of
their site showed work and working methods of good standard.

A criticism of an identified company. That should please IanT, but I won't be holding my breath.

Don't think /anything/ could please IanT.

I think you've just called me an anorak, I can't argue with your factual
accuracy.
It stood out like a sore thumb amongst all the pictures of Unix 52s on
inadequate brackets.

I wonder if they are Part-P registered. If so they should know about
safe zones.

For Windsor Weather see www.snglinks.com/wx

I suspect they won't fall foul of Part P as they appear to have just buried
the flex in the wall with a 13amp plug top at the end!
As "experts" though, they would certainly be liable should anyone drill into
that cable as it certainly doesn't adhere to any safe practice of burying
cables that I'm aware of.

No, I haven't called you an anorak! Actually I 've just got in from a
120 mile drive in which I must have pointed at a rooftop and said to
Hil 'Look at that!' at least a hundred times!

Regarding eidetic memory, my uncle has always boasted that he has a
photographic memory, but not he's nearly 80 he admits there isn't
always a film in his camera.

An unkind person might say that such a plot was unneccessary. . .

The one of a flat roof mounted satellite dish with paving flags holding it
down looks vaguely familiar......
