It might be worth making the effort to put them on eBay - you'd be
surprised at what old magazines can sell for. Alternatively, you could
try contacting Kelly Books (
http://www.radiotimesbacknumbers.com/) to
see if they'd be interested in taking them off your hands.

I was also just about to suggest trying Len and Lynda Kelly. I've bought a
fair number of audio magazines from them and I know they do take a real
interest in radio/TV publications.

Slainte,

Jim

I just thought. Old Pembers would love them. He can be found at

Thanks, Bill. He's very welcome to them, if he pops up to say so - but we've
got to get them from here to there ...

Thanks for that - interesting! I've also got a lot of old Radio Timeseseses.
Again, the question of logistics arises - I'll mull that one over ...

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "André Coutanche"
saying something like:

Free to a good home! But if no-one wants them, they'll be in the black box
soon ...

Unfortunately, the shipping costs of magazines in bulk make it a
non-goer from a weight point of view. Single issues, fine, but not
bundles of them so that leaves personal collection only.
Best of luck with them, it's always a bit of a shame to see interesting
old mags go to landfill.
One could always do something useful with them.

They're from the 1970s and '80s, and include runs of 'Wavelength' magazine;
'Script' magazine, which morphed into 'Radio Guide'; 'Television and Home
Video' magazine; and - rather more seriously - papers relating to my then
membership of the Royal Television Society (notices of meetings etc.) and a
run of the RTS *magazine, 'Television', from Jan./Feb. 1971 to Mar./Apr..
1979.

Would it be possible for you to give an indication if the quantity for
Television and Home
Video' magazine; and papers relating to my membership of the Royal
Television Society and a
run of the RTS magazine, 'Television', from Jan./Feb. 1971 to Mar./
Apr.1979.

Is it a few bundles easily carried onto a bus with a ruckack or a lot
more (I will be at by parents in Bishoptston, Bristol on the weekend
of 06/07 Feb) - also are you in the City or one of the surrouding
towns?

A quick reply here, John, to say that I'll e-mail you tomorrow when I've got
a bit more time (your 'from' address looks valid; if it's not, e-mail me and
let me know).
