Default Emley Moor + Pace Twin = crash?!

A relative just returned home and found that her Pace Twin had
crashed. It has been left in stand by - no timers set.

She's on Emley Moor - rebooting the box gets it working again, but it
seems or crash or freeze at random - but within a minute or so of
being rebooted. This may be related to which channel its on - it
seemed to get very stuck on Channel five, and had to be rebooted with
the aerial removed and changed to BBC One with no signal to get it
back. Flicking through channels again it gave a locked green screen on
the BBC Four "off air" page.

She's more than happy to buy a new box - we gave her our old twin
thinking she'd never used it, but now she's hooked on having a PVR.

But still - it would be nice to know what's happened. There have been
plenty of reports of Pace Twins failing after DSO, but Emley isn't due
to change until 2011 - has something changing recently? Or has the box
just developed an unrelated fault over the last week?

Cheers,
David.

I'm on Emley Moor at the end of September they did changes and we all had to
rescan.
This I was told was the last before analogue switch off and in preparation.
My friends Panasonic internal Freeview tuner failed, and he as been told he
needs a new Freeview box.
Regards
David

I was given the "solution" on Digital Spy...

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s....php?t=1192428

....there's a long Pace Twin thread there - I should have remembered
it.

Cheers,
David.

Bloody hell! I read this header and I thought an aircraft had gone into the
side of the mast!
