I know there is no box out there that can receive Freeview HD
yet, but does anyone know the resolution being used when such a box does become available. Is is 720p or 1080p? -- Woody harrogate three at ntlworld dot com |

If it's like Satellite BBC HD, then it's not 1920x1080, it's 1440x1080, and
at a pathetic bitrate now. "Mark Carver" wrote in message ... If the plan is to push people into buying Sky HD, it's working brilliantly.
I used to think, like many people, I suspect, that the BBC was as committed to technological excellence and quality, as it was to programme making. Bit disillusioned now. The BBC via Sky is the same as delivered by Freesat which we know is poor quality since August so what is the point of getting Sky for the BBC programmers. Ok the Sky programmers might be better but can we be sure Sky will continue to be better? Regards David |

Well, if they don't, unlike the BBC you at least get the option to stop paying for the service. -- Sean Black |
