Many used to complain about adverts, too many US imports and repeats
on TV.

People now pay--specifically for US imports and repeats--to watch such

Couldn't this be because the quality of new UK made programmes is not
as good so the old repeats and US imports now appear better?

I want the US programming. I can (almost) avoid the adverts on Sky+ by
never watching anything live!
