Why not give it a go if the intended fixing location is easily accessible for you? Get all the cables run exactly how you want and then if you can't locate the satellite and give up hope, get an installer to come and align the dish for you. The trade cost of all the parts is about £36 ish (dish with bracket / quad / cable / plugs). Obviously more if you want to mount it to look over a roof etc. I'd normally charge £150 to supply all the bits then install them - 2 feeds to the lounge. Price is the same whether it's a wall or chimney install. If you're not in the London area then you'll probably find this price will go down a bit. Gives you an idea of what the difference will be anyway. Obviously if you get an installer to do it, then you get the guarantee (if the LNB fails etc) but if the dish is easily accessible then this will be an easy fix for you in future if you go down the DIY route. |
